  • Problem Buying Tickets with PayPal (December 13, 2017 JST)

A problem occured with our PayPal payment system on December 13, 2017, between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. (JST), resulting in users being unable to purchase tickets with PayPal.
The problem has been fixed, and users can now buy tickets as usual.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience.
  • Payment Services Back Online (November 21, 2017 JST)

Payment services were temporarily unavailable yesterday from 2-5 AM (JST) due to maintenance. We apologogize for any inconvenience caused.
  • Problem Buying 10 Tickets on PC (September 13, 2017 JST)

For PC users the link to purchase 10 tickets via credit card was not working between Thursday 7 and Tuesday 12. This has now been fixed. We apologize to any affected users.
  • Reviews are now fixed (August 9, 2017 JST)

Reviews are now fixed. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
  • Users are currently unable to post reviews (August 9, 2017 JST)

Due to a problem with our server users are currently unable to post reviews. We will let you know as soon as the problem is fixed.
  • You Can Now Sign-in With Facebook (July 31, 2017 JST)

*This only applies to new users. Existing users will not be able to link their Renta! accounts to their Facebook accounts.

  • Regarding the Payment System Error (June 29, 2017 JST)

We have canceled all transactions (purchases of tickets and rentals made by cash) made while our payment system was down.

Once more, we are sorry for anyone who was inconvenienced by this error. We will endevour to ensure that nothing like this happens again.
  • Payment System Error (June 29, 2017 JST)

A problem occured with our payment system on June 29, 2017, between 9:35 and 10:30 a.m. (JST), resulting in users being unable to purchase tickets or use cash to rent content.
The problem has been fixed, and users can now buy tickets and content as usual.

  • The Rental List is now My Books! (June 22, 2017 JST)

Thank you for using Renta!
We are happy to announce that the Rental List section has been completely revamped and is now My Books.

We have added some new functions to help make your Renta! experience even more enjoyable and easy to navigate.

  • - REFINE: We have added the Refine function that allows you to display your books by genre.
  • - SEARCH: Using the Search bar lets you look for books containing specific keywords.
  • - VOLUMES/SERIES VIEW: You can display your books sorted either by Volumes or Series.
  • - DEFAULT BOOKSHELF: This lets you choose either "All Books" or "Unsorted Books" as your default Bookshelf and switch between the two whenever you want. To set either as your default Bookshelf, please choose "Default page"/"Set as Default" in My Books section.

  • System Error Fixed (May 22, 2017 JST)

Dear Renta! Users,

From 10:50 to 17:25 on May 22 (JST) several of Renta!'s services were unavailable due to a problem with our system.

Starting on March 22nd, a new function is available on My Page: notifications regarding next volumes.
Whenever a new volume of a series you rented is released, it will be displayed there.

*Please note that you need a Renta! login to use this function.

  • Introducing our new service: Novels - now on Renta! (March 1, 2017 JST)

Starting from the 1 of March 2017, novels will be available on our site in addition to manga.

When the latest volume of an item that you have rented and/or added to your Wish List is available, you will receive a New Release Notification in your email. To add an item to the Wish List, click the "Add to Wish List" button on the item page.

NOTE: If you do not wish to receive New Release Notifications, you can change your settings HERE.

Due to a time-delay when unsubscribing, please be aware that you may receive newsletters a few days after deleting your account or changing your settings.
