Mel, visiting a Southern Italian resort, sits at a seaside cafe when a man appears, bringing forth memories from log ago. It's Vann, a musician she had a one-night stand with fourteen years ago. But she is pulled from her reverie by her daughter, who is almost drowning in the sea. When Mel cries out, Vann jumps into the water and saves her daughter. Mel thanks him, nervously wondering if he remembers her. However, he doesn't seem to and even tries to seduce her when they meet again for work!
