If you're looking for a quick and casual read, this series is certainly it. There are some interesting themes introduced like self-confidence, learning how to take it easy on yourself and your body, and not letting someone treat you like trash because of the way you look. My main gripe though is that while these concepts are introduced, they don't really go so far in-depth to really turn this story into something a little less superficial in nature. [semi-spoilers:] The main characters are very cute and well-suited for each other and that makes me happy, but I would have liked it if the main girl confronted her ex-boyfriend about his rude behaviors during their relationship to really drive the point home.
