A cute, androgenous uke, a mean anti-hero seme, and a hot steamy manga. Love this one! Warnings for bullying lover and dub-con. The uke was rather eager to submit, despite the suspicious circumstances. Submissive boy, yum! Can this anti-hero seme redeem himself? (Yes, he can.) There's a lot of background characters in this story, filling out our seme's backstory. He's a bit of a slut, sleeping his way around the neighborhood. There are three previous lovers who show up: two who embrace the uke into the fold with friendly arms, and one who acts as a jealous antagonist. These are minor characters, but I personally just love seeming supportive (and sexually active!) girls in my BL. Now if only I could remember if this title is finished or not...

I love this title! Adorable uke, an anti-hero seme, and an intriguing setup: the uke cries magical crystals. Unbeknownst to him, this ability could put in real danger if the wrong people were to find out. The seme is protecting him...but also taking advantage of him. Will this man redeem himself? Dun dun duhh! Warnings for bullying lover and dub-con. Great world building, great conflict, and pretty art.

An odd title. I loved the art, especially the design of the androgenous uke. I saw that character design and I had to read it. But I just couldn't get into the story. There's an Alice-like mysteriousness to the world that my logical brain just can't sink into. This is a world where most people are dual sexed (trance) and some are single sexed (permanence). The people who never change sexes are rare and held in high regard by society. Conceptually, I love that idea. Gender conformation is valued and demanded by society, but how many people actually fit that? But this story doesn't truly feel like it embodies this idea. It's too...floaty. There's also an Isekai aspect of not knowing the world or your own body. Writing this review, I feel like I should love this title but the manga is just...not there. Art & Designs 5/5. Concept 5/5. Concept Execution 2/5. Personal Enjoyment 1/5. Some warnings: there is a bullying lover and a dub-con.

Super cute and hot. This is a fast, fun, smutty read. The uke has a bad boy exterior, while having such a sweet, submissive, lovestruck heart on the inside. If you were drawn to the uke in the sample (like I was), and you want a fun popcorn read, then you'll enjoy this book. I very much did. Hoping there might be more.Readers wanting plot will be disappointed, lol. What little conflict there is is the parents trying to keep them apart. The sex scenes are super consensual between two dorks head over heels in love with each other. For super sensitive readers, there's a brief disagreement over which partner will be the wife (top/bottom, inheritance, where they live, etc) that the seme gets his way on. The uke isn't upset by it. Later there's a joke about some photographs that was super funny, but again, super sensitive readers might be turned off. I'm giving these warnings just in case, but both moments are minor.
