Minato's a corporate slave with an unhealthy lifestyle. His one source of happiness is Mr. Purrkins, the neighborhood stray cat he sometimes feeds. He'd love to take Mr. Purrkins in officially, but he knows someone with a soul-crushing work life like him shouldn't be responsible for the tiny creature. Still, he can't help caring for the cat when he can.
One night, while feeding Mr. Purrkins, Minato finds Ritsu passed out on a pile of garbage. Upon hearing the young man has nowhere to go, Minato figures Ritsu can help him take care of Mr. Purrkins during the daytime and ends up asking him to move in with him!
