This has nothing to do with A.B.O. and that's perfectly fine. FL learning how to speak for herself after living a sheltered life under verbal abuse. ML being assertive in his adoration for his love while making sure he never crosses a boundary without her consent. A lovely slow burn that I anxiously await its updates.
