Amy was one of my favorite heroines ever! Yeah, she was cute and young, but she wasn't completely naive or out of touch with reality and not annoying (major plus for me when deciding if a character is awesome or not).Hugh wasn't a complete jerk either, even though he was older and had more work responsibilities, and more experience in other areas he never made Amy feel like total crap. Ok, he once told her that he didn't see her as a woman, but to be fair her big bother aka his best friend was right there. There weren't any laugh out loud moments, it was just cute and I'm glad that it was wrapped up so nicely, it didn't seem too rushed. That woman, Sonya, phew she was something else. Glad she wasn't able to get away with too much. Oh and the art was super fantastic! Loved it!!! Good read and nice HEA. Even though all harlequin novels have one, not all are created equal. This one though, it was satisfying.
Oh the art was great, the storyline moved along very nicely; not too rushed or too slow. I instantly liked both of the leads. Marriage without love is one of my favorite tropes in romance stories and this one was well delivered. They both didn't do the whole love thing for their own personal reasons, but the chemistry between them was undeniable. So much so, that they both wanted to keep the other close (especially the hero and all the ways he tried to keep Lily safe, but she was too independent for that bs) and open up their hearts. Oh, they were cute. Really enjoyed the story.
This story was perfect. The two leads Spencer and Jane were so cute. Jane is absolutely adorable. My favorite laugh out loud moment is when she is at the dinner and pretending to be married to her best friends husband. Poor Chuck! It's harlequin, so there was the usual misunderstanding between the leads and the pussyfooting around the whole "do I confess the truth/ confess my feelings" scenario. There is absolutely no cheating or scandals, just a truly sweet lovely story and a great HEA. Must read. The art is fantastic, usual greatness by Tomoko Takakura.
What a strange story. I liked it and here is why:1. The characters are so flawed and that makes the story interesting2. Kanade is seriously flawed, in love with his father for crying out loud!3. The portrayal of celebrity is so thought provoking; they're beautiful, talented, rich, but underneath it all so desperate to be loved. And the way they show their love is what makes it weird. Because they don't really know or understand such things as boundaries, ethics is almost nonexistent in celebrity world. In a way I thought why put love in a box? But then I definitely thought, yeah, some boundaries are good, like not sleeping with your dad. So good on Kaname for putting the kabosh on that situation.4. Delusional characters are abundant, the stalker, Kanade, his mother, and even Yumma. All at varying levels though. Theyre simple and subtle, and makes me want to take a step back.Overall, it was a good story and makes me immensely happy to be an outsider looking in.
OH my god what a crappy story. I thought that the premise was ok in the beginning. A cute and plucky girl trying to make it on a her own in the big city who just happens to get "rescued " by the handsome, powerful, rich boss. But there is like no romance whatsoever!!!! What?! They are both attracted to each other, but nothing comes of it, he even starts seeing his ex while pretending to be her fianc辿. I was not impressed and the art was so-so. Not my favorite story. I should've listened to Chicobaby's review.
More!!! I want another chapter at least. It was so short and sweet. I love the professor!
Wow!!! I really didn't think I was going to like this manga, the whole sluttly boy who can't control his libido type character and the shenanigans that follow. But I gave it a go anyways. So glad I did! Nozaki is a total playboy who can only have sex in the music room because he can only get aroused when he hears Asahi's violin practice (hmm, wonder why that is?). Oh it has such cuteness and Asahi's backstory is really sad. Kinda wish there was more resolve to this story, since the second and final part seemed a little to rushed, but oh well. The author heavily implies what happened and what is to be, so it wasn't too "Whaaat???" You know what I mean.
Best female lead I've read in this type of story in a long time. She's not stupid! Well, she doesn't have a lot of romance experience, so she can do some stupid stuff, but that's what I can relate to. Also, she has character growth, so refreshing. Love both of the leads, their relationship is so sweet and dreamy. I love how our female MC is strong too, she doesn't get fooled twice and she stands up for herself. Love it!!! And the love scenes are like a total bonus.
I really love this manga! Our MC is so simple and cute, total typical heroine of a shoujo. Doesn't see her total worth as a woman, as of yet. And the main love interest is such a tsundere, I love those type of leading man, so cute. The story is quite different from what the synopsis, but it is a pleasant surprise and really fun to read. So do yourself a favor and rent this story already can't wait for vol 5!
This is quite bittersweet given the storyline and what our heroine has to go through given her current situation, but there is a bit of character development and it's sweet too. She is definitely a gullible MC, but she's cute. The "love" scenes are quite good too. And each chapter doesn't feel too rushed either.
