This series is so AMAZING! First of all, you have actually likeable MCs with none of the usual bs found in shojou mangas. You have a super supportive best friend, a spacey but pragmatic heroine, and a hero who not only has feelings but is aware of them. There are a few tropes that are so totally turned on their head that I laughed out loud (e.g. fangirls/other women and being warned away from the SO). 6 chapters in and I can't wait to see how things turn out during Ayame's mission. Highly recommend! This is one of the best mangas on Renta

First off, I have to say that these Harlequin style mangas led me to discover Olivia Gates' work. Because of that, I actually knew this story before reading this manga. So the review is split. On its own, the manga is good. It jumps around a bit and the art is nice. I'd consider it a rental. Compared to the actual book it's based on, however? Terrible. The book is amazing and provides way more background (naturally), but also makes Maram look like a grown woman versus this superficial, naive version in the manga. There also isn't such a case of insta-love. If you find the premise interesting, go check out Ms. Gates' version first instead. They cost the same amount.
