Tanner, a grumpy recluse from a powerful family, keeps himself shut away from the rest of the world and tries to get the nearby Christmas tree farm shut down because of the noise from the music and visitors. Ivy, the owner of said farm, gets hired as his housekeeper so that they can get to know each other and hopefully come to an understanding. She's optimistic and proactive, trying to win Tanner over with great food and smiles, only wanting to protect her farm and help him live his best life, like she's determined to do no matter what hardship comes her way. I wish I could be more like her, but I fear I'm more like Tanner. I think it's cute how awkward he is around people and how he doesn't know how to interact with people beyond buying them gifts. With the Christmas theme, this story feels a little bit like "A Christmas Carol" (but without the ghosts ofc). Light-hearted and feelgood fluff, just like most Christmas stories are.
