Very clich辿 and predictable, but I still enjoyed it. Matt and Brooke pretend to be engaged to make his ageing grandma happy and to stop Brooke's mother from setting her up with more men. Matt is your typical handsome, rich playboy who's against marriage (because every woman in the world besides the ones featured are all gold-diggers), while Brooke is bland, boring and perfect (beautiful, kind, modest, selfless etc). The characters are a real let-down, they're so by-the-numbers boring with 2D personalities. Brooke doesn't want to fall in love because her mum married 11 times, so she constantly tries to distance herself from Matt and break up with him, despite having agreed to their fake engagement for both of their sakes and never once telling Matt how she feels (and he never has a frank and honest conversation with her either), coming across as very selfish and cowardly. The only well developed character is Brooke's mother, who's actually a HUGE romantic and truly loves her daughter.
