I'm an emotional mess, this was AMAZING. I was swept away with Tsuwabuki and Shuro's beautiful story, to the point where I devoured this series while on my lunch break and wound up having to work longer to make up for the time! Shuro is absolutely head over heels for his bride, and has been for years. Tsuwabuki is a 'bastard' child raised and shunned by his 'family' and then sent off in place of his horrendous half-sister as a sacrifice to the Dragon God of the mountain. This story was so sweet and wholesome between them; Tsuwabuki may suffer from low self esteem and learned behaviors from abuse, but Shuro is so loving and devoted and makes sure he knows he's wanted just as he is, at every opportunity. Note: Volume 1 ends in a cliffhanger, and there are TW for child abuse, toxic family dynamics and violence (mainly Volume 2 for the Violence part). Sacrifices are made but it ends so happy. The art is BREATHTAKING. (Also, Shuro munches on Tsuwabaki's ears and it's ADORABLE)
