I will rent/buy anything Jet draws, usually! But this preview didn't really give enough to go on and I wasn't sure if I really liked the h Amanda. She was a bit closed off from reality and how there are two sides to every coin. I didn't care for that and a good chunk of the story I wasn't feeling this story at all. Bram seemed like a larger than life character and a truly decent human being who fell immediately for Amanda. Even more so when she showed her vulnerable side to him. I think as a beastmaster he could appreciate that she trusted him enough (so early on in their knowing each other) to let out her fears and insecurities in front of him, knowing he wouldn't judge, but be understanding. And that he was. Fell for them both by the end, it was really rushed though. Art as usual is lovely in that truly unique Jet way.
Charlie annoyed me, she was really wishy washy and was weak. Ricardo was a jerk. The way he broke things off with her when they were younger was so messed up. He was just so cavalier about how they got together and that she should have known that it was just a summer fling. This story is filled with one lie after another. He meets her again and he feels like it is fate. Why? He hardly ever thought about her. He was on a date with OW and still pursues Charlie, wth? Then he has a eureka moment after they make love where he realizes he's always loved her and letting her go 8 years ago was his biggest mistake. I didn't feel any romantic feelings between them at all. She was very rude and not likable and he was whatever, I wasn't crushing on him at all. There is not a lot to go on here that shows them ever loving each other, just a lot of fighting. That's not healthy or romantic. Not my favorite. Art is nice, story was a bit hard to follow. Glad I just rented this and not paid for full.
Not bad. The guy is the typical fool in harlequin fashion, he's never known love so he doesn't believe in it, yadda yadda yadda. The h is likable and is strong. She did try to tell him, but he avoided her like the plague. I liked that both were never with other people in their time apart, don't know why, but that's a peeve of mine. Either both are celibate or they both get to date, nothing one sided. Didn't get too much interaction with the baby, just a little here and there, but it seems like he'll be a hands on daddy. She had faith in him and was pretty patient. This had a pretty good HEA. But I still didn't feel a connection between them, which is weird, bc they both interacted in a romantic way. It just didn't feel real. But it's cute and easy to follow. Art is pretty, not spectacular. Give it a try.
This is kinda breaking my heart. Fuji has been living a lie for so long and missing out on so much of the world around him all for the sake of being normal and doing what comes so easily for the majority of the population. And Kana is living his life, exploring new things and keeping an open mind and also being true to himself with no shame. Their shared history and insecurities as young men has shaped them into the adults they are today. Both living such different lives because they both had a different outcome from their breakup. Kana doesn't want to have any regrets, so he lives life to the fullest, where as Fuji is still stuck. He seems calm and cool to others, but is really a selfish man. And Kana is so accepting of him. Their relationship is going to be very interesting to watch develop as the chapters keep coming. After just reading two, I'm so intrigued to find out what will happen to them. Do they stay together? Get a HEA? Learn new life lessons? All of the above? Can't wait!
What did I just read!? Holy moly this is pretty intense. Um why is his twin brother working in that type of bar to begin with? And I kept wondering if his brother and best friend have some kind of relationship as well, because his twin seemed kinda pissy with him and his trauma, always having to rely on Leo. Oh this has left me with way too many questions and I must get answers! The art is good and there is some good backstory here. This is very kinky and the plot seems like it's going to be very twisty and nothing is as it seems. Can't wait to read more! But those guys his brother works for are pretty rough and scary! No wonder his brother keeps skipping out on his shifts.
Oh I'm loving this one already! The art is top notch- love it! The h is a hard worker and so not full of herself and it's refreshing cause it doesn't seem like she has any hang ups, just way too preoccupied with her job. Her only reward is her massage sessions with a very talented lady. So when the CEO's son starts to work with her company on a new project she sees some pretty shocking similarities between the two. The H is so point blank with his assessment of the h, like he already knows her, he even says he is attracted to her unconventional traits and it's her inner beauty he likes most. Things move very fast and the twist at the end of this first chapter is so good! Kinda saw it coming, but none the less I need to find out what's going to happen next. The H seems to be full of surprises. Good luck girl!
So funny! What an OTT premise for a story, but it works really well. Love that the girl is so funny. Grim reaper is a hoot as well. Also, really like the fact that this mangaka is giving each of these guys a backstory to give them more depth. I wasn't expecting to like the horn dog playboy as much as I did, but he's such a sweetie! I like that this isn't going to be all about the smexy times either. She needs to find the guy she was in love with from the beginning. No easy feat as shown in this second installment. It sucks that she can't remember anyone from before, but they seem to know her. Very interesting, liking how it's keeping me on my toes about who is the one and if someone's plotting something. This Ren guy seems suspicious, kinda also looks like the grim reaper. Maybe I'm looking into this too much. Can't wait for the next installment! Happy reading!
This is so totally worth the money! The art is great. The flow of the story is very even and easy to understand who is who and what they're all about. Akane is a shy girl in college who's friend is dating a guy who is friends with Kai, a super good looking and popular guy who has the same major as her. She thinks they're from two different worlds, but she couldn't be more wrong about that. On the trip things are awkward at first, then fun, then confusing then she gets kicked out of her own room (you have to read to find out) and Kai comes to her rescue. While sharing his room for the night they talk and learn more about each other. Kai is so much more than his playboy charm, he's sweet and polite and very caring. There's a huge misunderstanding on Akane's part, but Kai I feel more than makes up for it with his earnest confession. This is really cute and I definitely can't wait to see what happens next. It'll be interesting for sure.
Wow! I really liked this one. What a roller coaster of emotions. My gawd Justice was one stubborn stubborn man! His pride was almost his undoing. For over a year he is separated from his wife who he loves more than anything else in the world, but kept his secret and fear of being considered less than a "man" to ever tell her the truth. Maggie loves him with all her heart and that means everything, even his stubborn pride. Marriage is for better or worse folks! When he finds out she has a son, he is gutted. How could she be with another man? I'm guessing he hasn't been with anyone else since their split, hoping so. But little does he know that is his baby boy and Maggie is still his. I loved baby Jonas, such a cutie! Both were great characters and they both had so much passion for each other, wow!! It takes a lot of determination to love a stubborn man and Maggie is strong and a bit pigheaded herself. They were so made for each other. Loved that justice finally saw the error of his ways
This was pretty good. Art is nice and pretty. Jed was a very conceited man and kept Phoebe at a distance. But she had hearts in her eyes the whole time and didn't see what their relationship was all about until she tells him the good news. But he doesn't take it too well and one misunderstanding leads to another and then something really sad happens and she runs away from him b/c she thinks it's over. Like most harlequin stories, the woman takes the man back right away, but at least Phoebe waits until they're married this time before getting back in his bed. And he proves he's invested 100% to her and their child. Very sweet HEA too. More babies!!! Liked that there wasn't any family drama with his family or approval problems. It was just Jed being heavy handed with his POWER and trying to make demands like always, then seeing the error of his ways. Not bad and loving that this was only .99 cents to rent for 48 hours, cause I'll never read this one again, but I'm glad I read it.
