Awww, this was a bit sad. She had a rough first marriage that did not go well, he was a useless jerk (putting it very mildly) and now she lives her life by herself, denying herself of love all b/c she's afraid that she isn't going to be enough in the long run. When she meets the veterinarian she feels a fondness for him and he for her. He wants more. I thought it was cute how he already thought that they were going out before ever asking properly. They take things slow and in the heat of the moment we see that he is actually a jealous lover and this leads to a huge misunderstanding. But he owns up to his mistake and all is forgiven. He is so in love with her and she with him and I'm glad they both get their HEA.
Their first meeting is something she doesn't recall at all, so when she sees him for what she thinks is the first time it's not a good first impression at all. He's in bed with her new model! Yikes! Anyway she doesn't date at all or do romance, she's all business and being a kick@$$ adult. But he finally found his first love again and isn't giving up. At all. If only he had said that in the beginning, silly boy. There's a lot of push and pull here. She is so reluctant to fall in love with a younger guy. But he's so sweet and genuine that she can't resist him. It's a sweet story that starts off very rocky. But we see how he is just a young man who has been trying to move on from his first love and not being able too. And now that she is back in his life, he won't let anything happen to get in their way. I like it when the man is the pursuer. Good story with a good HEA.
This was good. I liked that they both have to keep up appearances at work, her the prim and proper accountant and he the new CEO. But after work, they both are huge pop star fans! Their common interest makes them see each other in a new light. This was really funny and I love the scenes when they're at the concert for the first time. They were really getting into that song, lol! I like how he is self aware and knows who he is and he's a super supportive big bro too! She's so cute! In her 30s and still totally a fan girl! They seem like a fun couple.
This was a cute second chance at love story for two college students who haven't seen each other since middle school. Loved that they both loved each other since then and that the H was a total hopeless romantic. The h had a really hard time letting go of her anger with him from what she thought was a betrayal of trust, but was actually just a gross misunderstanding. Long over due reconciliation and a slow burn romance keep this story from being trite. He really was doing everything in his power to show her that he was all in, he wasn't the same middle schooler. He wasn't going to let his chance slip away. She on the other hand was always jumping to conclusions and getting her feelings hurt for no good reason. Yeah, she's a crybaby, but I didn't find her necessarily annoying either. They just needed better open communication skills. His bro-con sister is a hoot and liked that she found her HEA (SPOILER) as well with his best friend.
Idk why but I really thought this was cute and a good read, I've read it five times since first renting it. I like that Nao is a stronger h than most and quite literally. Girl does judo! But she sees how arrogant Hino is and is definitely put off by his personality and her admiration for him falters a bit. Just a bit, cause he's a genius at what he does and she respects his work ethic. They both had the wrong first impressions of each other, but once Nao sets him straight (the first he's ever gotten by a women) and they work closely together, they both grow a soft spot for each other secretly. Art is not my favorite, but it's not terrible either. The flow of the story is really nice too. We get to see actual progress in their relationship, it's not wham, bam, thank you ma'am and off to HEA now! No, it's more like a slow burn and I like slow burn, makes it more enjoyable once they finally confess. And I liked the H as well, yes a bit (or a lot) full of himself, but he wins you over.
These two are so cute and sweet. Besties for three years and the h has practically friend zoned the H, but he's still hanging in there. The art is cute and works really well with this story. The smexy scenes just look so silly though, not very hot. But this isn't about the heat factor, it's more about how these two finally get on the same page and confess their love to one another. Kaede is pretty dense when it comes to how much Jun is into her. I love that Jun is a total geek about everything and is a bit stalkerish when it comes to Kaede. The ability to enter other people's dreams is the catalyst that gets the ball rolling for Kaede to see Jun as a man, not just her geeky friend/coworker. It's low on drama, just the right amount to keep it interesting and fun. This is definitely a re-read, so it's worth the tickets.
Gawd! This is such a deeply interwoven story of the lives of four unusual people who live their lives to the best of their abilities. Ken and Juli are high school sweethearts still learning about one another, trying to get better at verbal communication, but are definitely getting the hang of hanky panky times, darn teenagers! But they're so sweet and pure. Then there's Ken's mom and Juli's older brother who are so similar in their livelihoods, that they are deeply drawn to each other, yet still haven't gotten anywhere close to a friendship even. Then there's all these side characters that make up the rest of this rich story. At times it can be a bit confusing about why they are all drawn together and so far with only 2 volumes out we're left hanging on what is happening. But it's so beautiful in its portrayal of all the different kinds of love we share and how it drives us to go on. Title is aptly named and I'm anxiously waiting for this to continue, if ever. Keeping fingers crossed.
This has it all. The art is so nice and the story is refreshing. Kazumi has zero experience with men and falls so hard for Sato who is a bit of a player who is also a bit jaded about love and relationships. For him women are just for smexy times and women just use him for his looks and status, all pretty sad stuff. My heart was breaking for Kazumi b/c she just bared herself to him over and over again. When his cold little heart finally started to feel for her I was like yes! Finally! And then once he realized he was in love with her too, he goes all alpha "she belongs to me!" and is a total sweetie to her, as he should be! Love them together and I'm looking forward to the coworker and Sato's former high school gf getting closer too! Can't wait for everything to unfold. So good! It's a keeper!
Omg the art is uhmazimg!! The story is so good. A young woman with dreams of being a mangaka, but sucks at drawing, such is life. Also has the worst taste in men, they typically just use her and she allows herself to be treated poorly. Definitely a bad case of looking for love in all the wrong places. But that is all behind her, because she is now completely 100% infatuated with her gynecologist, who is super rude and has poor social skills, but I found myself rooting for her to get with him, just because in a way all of his hot and cold behavior made her do a lot of self reflecting and she was making necessary steps to becoming a stronger woman. He in turn was learning that he needed her to become a better person as well. It's called growth and sometimes the person who is destined to be your partner in life will make you grow as a person. I also loved that all of the men who showed Makoto interest were completely genuine, nice guys who really cared for her and her well being. Loved it
I'm already addicted to this manga! It's so cute. Iori is a 25 yo tomboy working at a cute cafe who is constantly comparing herself to other women who seem to be the epitome of feminine charm. Don't know why, since she's as cute as a button, but I'm guessing we'll get more backstory on her lack of confidence later on. She's got a big time crush on the pastry chef, Sato, who is an absolute dreamboat. He's constantly getting confessed to, but never goes out with any of them, huh? This gets to the smexy times pretty quick and it's pretty hot, but our girl isn't prepared at all for all of Sato's ahem, attributes. Can't wait to continue reading about their newfound love proceeding from that little awkward snafus towards the end of the first installment. Art is super nice too! Liking this immensely.
