This was a pretty cute story and I've read it like five times already. Luc is a man that has never been in love, too busy bringing his fathers business back to the top and only has casual, meaningless flings with incredibly beautiful women. And poor Agatha is his mousy childhood friend of sorts who he employed to make her folks and his mom happy. Luc was a contradictory fool. One moment he wants to leave Agatha, the next he has to have her, then he decides to dump her once and for all. One thing for sure, he likes things his way or the highway. Agatha was a weak character, but so sweet and mellow I kinda didn't hate her, but she was a bit forgettable. I guess I just like watching Luc's transformation from jerk playboy to loving and doting family man who only wanted Agatha. Art is pretty good and it flows very well. The HEA is adorable and we get to see that his devotion to Agatha and his unborn child is still there. Good read when you want a fairly light read with little to no stress.
A pretty decent storyline about a count who falls in love with a young lady that saves him from a mother-daughter trap at a house party. I liked that the count really tried to help Henrietta in her pursuit of making the best out of her time in London during the social season, all while falling for her. I'm giving this a 4 because I didn't really see any romance at all. The love is kind of just plopped out towards the very end, felt very rushed. Many misunderstandings about each other's real intentions and feelings, such as of course he could never love a country bumpkin like me, sigh. Or of course she hates a scoundrel like me, but I have to try no matter what, yadda yadda yadda. I just really enjoy historical romances and I've read this over and over again despite there really being very little romance involved. It's a clean romance, no real sense of scandal or heartbreak. Simple to follow, no real surprises. But I absolutely adored the HEA, they both deserved a big happy family.
Art is decent. Story of a woman who has given up on love and since being dumped has also stopped putting in any effort on her appearance. Not trying to say that being beautiful equals being loved, but if you feel good you want to look good and act positive all around. The boss' son ruffles her feathers and they're off to a rocky start. In order to show him that his words about her being an ugly B are wrong, she goes in 110% on makeover mode all for the sake of the company's matchmaking party. I like a good push n pull in my romance stories and this had just a lil bit of that. It's too short to get a true understanding on both characters, especially the male lead. Want more to be honest, but a HFN is given. Cute, quick read that I've read many times since purchasing.
Art is clean and cute. Storyline is pretty cute too, adult game company employees finding their own HEA. I love age gaps with the older woman younger man scenarios. Love how sweet both characters seem. Looking forward to seeing their relationship grow.
The art is so cute, the main story is sweet and so is the extra. I totally dig reverse harems, but not so much with all brothers, kinda weird, but whatever. In this story it works. Totally worth the points and a definite re-read.
Oh my god I want more chapters. Please let there be a continuation, because this is so good. Art is so pretty. The expressions are so easily read on their faces. Love this unique subject matter and how the two leads are such opposites and clash, but just one expression of hers makes him see her in a new light. And then he tries to make his precense known and interrupt any chance of her getting closer to her long time crush. Oh, it's so good.
Ugh! So bummed only one person kept their promise. Guess who? Even though technically he was attacked? Not attacked? So confused. Anyway, should have listened to the other reviewer and avoided, cause this was sad and put me in a bad mood. The art is pretty decent though.
Art is amazing, love sensei Uchida's work. The story went along pretty smoothly. The h wasn't a total pushover, but really didn't stand up for herself. Went with the flow a little too much, kinda hard not too when the H is a total alpha. Ok, the H is redeemable, but I hate what he did to her in the past. Total D move!!! That just shows me he didn't really love her if he couldn't understand where she was coming from and wait for her. Ugh!!! Not my favorite, mostly because of his past misdeeds towards our h. Otherwise, not too original. Probably won't re-read again.
The art was nice, but it was kinda hard following this story. The translation wasn't that great, kinda choppy. Also, I just didn't really care for the whole story. She infiltrates the household to get "revenge" on the father and son who she thinks betrayed her own father and her five year long one-sided crush on the son is her bigger problem than getting caught by the two. It was just quite trite. It was boring and seemed overdone, its been done before and better. I wouldn't recommend.
Uh? Where do I begin? This was so sad and so very very melodramatic. It was almost too much, the heroine was so weak and traumatized that I wanted to throttle her at times. The hero was like some golden boy hero. He went away to make a name for himself so he could be able to make her his wife and all the while she was living in her own personal hellhole. But he comes back for her and saves her. Um, the art was really good. But I doubt I will ever re-read this, such a shame. I kinda had it figured out what had happened to her, but she was just so helpless. Her family and in laws were just so vile, no wonder her self esteem was utter garbage. This is not a story that makes you feel empowered and hopeful, it makes you think that all your horrible problems can be solved by your one true love who will save you ultimately at the end, which is pure fantasy. Which these stories are, I get that.
